Smarty S-06 PoD Tuner 2003-2007 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 5.9L CR Cummins

MADS Electronics built the Smarty S-06 PoD as the full-featured handheld programmer for 2003-2007 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks running the 5.9L CR (common rail) Cummins. Ten CaTCHER software levels cover everything from a reduced-power setting up to 210 HP over stock, and the Power on Demand feature lets you type any of 100 power levels directly on the keypad while driving.

Software Levels

• SW 0: about half of stock power, for reduced power or no-smoke situations
• SW 1: 30 HP increase, with added timing
• SW 2 and 3: 60 HP increase, without and with added timing
• SW 4 and 5: 90 HP increase, without and with added timing
• SW 6 and 7: 160 HP increase, without and with added timing
• SW 8 and 9: 210 HP increase, without and with added timing

The levels without added timing are intended for stacking with a separate timing box. Horsepower figures are rear-wheel gains measured by Smarty on stock trucks on a Mustang dyno and rounded down.

Key Features

• Power on Demand, 100 power levels selectable in about a second, applied once the throttle is released
• Modified torque management on every level except SW 0 for stronger throttle response within a safe limit for the driveline
• ABS tire height calibration up to 44 in. in tenth-inch increments, with the unit VIN locked to the truck
• Reads and erases diagnostic trouble codes and displays them in plain text
• Programmable speed limiter from 25 to 250 mph
• Manual high idle enabled in the software levels (not available on 2003 model year trucks)
• Built-in USB connector for free software updates
• Typical ECM update of roughly 3.5 to 6 minutes, with automatic ECM recovery if an update is interrupted, so no fuses need to be pulled
• Leaves no footprint in the ECM when set back to stock
