Power Stroke

Ford's Power Stroke diesels have powered Super Duty pickups since 1994, and the family covers some very different engines: the long-running 7.3L, the 6.0L and 6.4L, and the current 6.7L. Each one has its own parts, problem areas and upgrade paths, so start by picking your engine.

Choose Ford Super Duty for 1994.5 to current F-250 through F-550 trucks with the 7.3L, 6.0L, 6.4L or 6.7L Power Stroke. For older trucks, see Ford IDI for the 6.9L and 7.3L IDI diesels built before the Power Stroke name. We also cover the F-150 3.0L Power Stroke and the Ford Transit diesels.
