Camshafts & Components

The camshaft controls when the valves open and close, which affects how a diesel breathes, makes power and spools its turbo. Camshafts and their related parts also wear over time, and worn lobes, lifters or timing parts show up as ticking, misfires and lost performance.

This collection includes performance camshafts from Hamilton Cams, Industrial Injection and COMP Cams for Cummins, Duramax and Power Stroke engines, built for better low-end torque, cooler exhaust temperatures or higher RPM power depending on the grind. We also carry cam bearings from Clevite and King, timing parts, and timing belts and kits from Gates for engines that use belt-driven cams.

A cam swap is usually done along with valve springs, pushrods and sometimes lifters, since the stock parts may not handle the new profile. See Valvetrain for those. On belt-driven engines, replace the timing belt and tensioner at the recommended interval, since a broken belt on an interference engine can cause major damage.

Diesel Fuel Systems Are All We Do.

Not a side department. Injectors, pumps, and turbos, day in and day out — which is why we catch things a general shop misses.
