Engine Gaskets & Seals

Gaskets and seals keep oil, coolant, fuel and combustion pressure where they belong. On a diesel, high cylinder pressure, heat cycles and vibration wear gaskets out over time, and a small leak can turn into a big repair if it gets coolant into the oil or oil onto the exhaust.

Shop head gaskets from Cometic, Fel-Pro and Cummins, seals and O-rings for engines, injectors and fuel systems, gasket sets and rebuild kits, exhaust, turbo and EGR gaskets, intake gaskets, and cover, oil and cooling gaskets. Brands include Vibrant, Ticon, Bosch, Alliant Power, Delphi and PPE.

Always use new gaskets when reassembling, even if the old ones look fine. Many modern gaskets are designed for one-time use. Clean mating surfaces carefully and check them for warping, and follow the torque specs and tightening sequence, since an over-tightened bolt can crush a gasket just as easily as an under-tightened one can let it leak.
