Injection Pumps / CP3 / CP4
The injection pump builds the pressure that diesel injectors need to spray fuel into the cylinders. Depending on the engine, that might be a mechanical pump on an older diesel or a high-pressure common rail pump that supplies thousands of PSI on a modern truck. When a pump wears out, you see hard starts, low power, low rail pressure codes and, in the worst cases, metal contamination through the whole fuel system.
Shop CP3 injection pumps for Cummins and Duramax, CP4 pumps and CP3 conversion kits, VP44 pumps for 1998.5 to 2002 Cummins, and P7100, VE and mechanical pumps for older engines. We also carry heavy-duty and industrial injection pumps and pump components and rebuild parts from Bosch, Stanadyne, Delphi, Alliant Power and Industrial Injection.
A failed CP4 can send metal debris through the injectors and lines, so look at a fuel contamination kit if that has happened. Pump rebuilds are part of our everyday shop work, so reach out if you have questions.
