Red Line Assembly Lube for Camshafts and Bearings - 16 oz Jar (Case of 4)

Red Line Assembly Lube goes on wear surfaces before assembly to stop metal contact at first start-up, before oil pressure comes up. Because it is built from motor oil components it blends into the oil rather than plugging the filter, which is where heavy moly pastes cause trouble. Sold as a case of 4 16 oz jars.

Key Features

• Prepares wear surfaces and prevents metal contact before adequate lubrication is supplied
• Unlike other assembly lubes, it will not plug filters after initial engine start-up
• Three times greater film strength than conventional black molybdenum disulfide greases
• Clings to all surfaces and acts as an excellent rust and corrosion inhibitor, allowing parts to be stored for years
• For use on camshafts, lifters, pushrods, piston skirts, bolt threads, and main and rod bearings
• Mixes with Red Line motor oil
• Recommended and used by top camshaft and drivetrain manufacturers

Applications

A thin film on mating parts is all that is required. Use only a small amount on bearing and piston surfaces, since too much can make the engine difficult to turn over. Can also be used on machined surfaces for long-term corrosion protection.
