K&N lists the 57-3000 for the 2005.5 through 2006 GM 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with the 6.6L turbo diesel, so it covers the later half of the 2005 model year onward rather than the full 2005 run. The kit replaces the factory filter and airbox with a roto-molded tube and a large conical filter.
