Ordering and Installation Notes
- Rocker arm core charge applies
- DLC coating can be damaged by incorrect oil, improper valve lash, valve float or excessive RPM; correct operating conditions are essential to service life
Break-In and Oil
Flat-tappet valvetrains require 15W-40 oil with adequate zinc, phosphorus and molybdenum (5W-40 in sub-zero conditions). Approved oils include Valvoline, Schaeffer's, Mobil Delvac Extreme, LIQUI MOLY Touring High Tech, Driven Racing Oil and Shell Rotella.
