Tappets with a 1.45 inch face, up from the older 1.1 inch standard. The extra contact area spreads load across the cam lobe, which matters more now than it used to because modern diesel oils carry less zinc than flat tappet valvetrains were originally designed around. Clears the 12-valve fuel pump eccentric.
