Worn motor mounts let a 24-valve shift under load, and you feel it as driveline shudder every time the turbo comes up. The Energy Suspension 5.1116R (store SKU eng5.1116R) packs the open voids in the factory mount so the engine stops moving — without buying a complete new mount assembly.
- Hyper-Flex polyurethane inserts press into the voids of the OEM mount, so you keep the original mount and skip the full-assembly price.
- These are a reinforcement, not a replacement mount — the factory rubber has to still be intact for the inserts to seat and hold.
- Supplied as a set rather than a single insert, so both engine mounts get treated in one order.
- Red finish, same Hyper-Flex material as the black 5.1116G version — the colour choice is cosmetic, not a different durometer.
- Resists oil, coolant and road grime, which is exactly what breaks down the soft factory rubber in the first place.
- Built for the 24-valve mount only — the 12V trucks use a different housing and take part 5.1114.
Fits: 1998-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and Dodge Ram 3500 with the 5.9L Cummins 24V. The 1998 split is mid-year: earlier-1998 trucks built with the 12V engine take part 5.1114 instead. Some early changeover trucks were built with 12V-style mount housings, so confirm the housing before ordering.
