The Edelbrock Performer complete cylinder head (EDE79029) is built for Duramax owners who want real headroom — 400+ horsepower capability packed into an aluminum casting that's been Hot Isostatic Pressed and T7 heat-treated so it can take the punishment of high boost and high cylinder pressure without flinching.
Fits: 2001-2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD, and GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD, 6.6L Duramax LB7
- This isn't a bare casting you have to source parts for — it ships complete with the valves, springs and retainers already installed, so you can bolt it on and get back to driving instead of hunting down hardware
- Thicker 16mm deck and taller seats than stock, with injector cups integrated into the casting for LB7 applications
- Federal-emissions 2001-2004 LB7 trucks need a modified glow plug bus bar for clearance, and rocker arms should be shimmed on the shaft to align with the valve bridge
- For the 6.6L Duramax only — the gas V8 trucks of the same years take a different head
