- 8740 chrome moly - 180,000-210,000 psi tensile
- Factory head bolts are torque-to-yield - they stretch permanently on first torque and cannot hold added cylinder pressure
- Provides the clamp load to hold the head down at raised cylinder pressure
- 12-Point nuts with hardened parallel-ground washers included
- Threads rolled after heat-treat for maximum fatigue strength
- Cold forged and heat-treated in the USA at ARP's own facility
