Open-stock top compression ring for 4.090in bore, 1.5mm axial height, from the MAHLE Performance ring range. It is built from SAE 9254 steel with a plasma-moly face coating.
Key Features
- Barrel face profile for fast break-in and continued cylinder wall contact as the piston rocks at TDC and BDC
- MAHLE combines SAE 9254 high alloy steel with a proprietary plasma face coating to extend ring life, reduce side wear and limit ring groove pound out. The smaller cross section of a steel ring also lets the top ring groove sit closer to the crown, reducing crevice volume.
