This open-stock top compression ring from MAHLE Performance covers 4.380in bore in a .017in axial height. It is built from PC479 hardened ductile iron.
Key Features
- PC479 is a hardened high strength nodular iron. The extra hardening process lets the ring run against most bore surfaces without an additional face coating, which is why MAHLE uses it in power adder applications that exceed what a conventional face-coated ring will tolerate.
- The pressure-backed dykes profile uses a step cut on the top side to take advantage of gas loading. MAHLE offers it primarily for drag racing.
