MAHLE 310-0006.040 is a Claimer series piston ring set for a 4.040in bore. MAHLE builds the Claimer sets for oval track claimer class engines, carrying much of the design of its race-proven sets at a lower price point.
Key Features
- MAHLE combines SAE 9254 high alloy steel with a proprietary plasma face coating to extend ring life, reduce side wear and limit ring groove pound out. The smaller cross section of a steel ring also lets the top ring groove sit closer to the crown, reducing crevice volume.
- Reduced radial wall compression rings, which lower tension against the cylinder wall and let the ring sit higher on the piston
- Standard tension CP-20 oil ring assembly
