The case is stainless steel, so road salt and condensation are less of a problem than with an aluminized converter. Inlet and outlet are both centred. MagnaFlow codes it Pre-OBDII in their application data.
Universal converters get cut into the pipe and welded, so this is a shop job rather than a driveway one.
