LIQUI MOLY Brake Fluid DOT 5.1 is a synthetic glycol-based hydraulic fluid for brake and clutch systems that call for DOT 5.1. It offers a higher boiling point than DOT 4 while remaining a glycol-based fluid, so it is not the same thing as silicone-based DOT 5.
