Holset 4032772HX Remanufactured VGT Electronic Turbocharger Actuator. Application: 2007.5-2012 Dodge / Ram 6.7L Cummins. On Holset variable geometry chargers the electronic actuator drives the sliding nozzle ring through a gear train and talks to the ECM over CAN, so it controls both boost and exhaust brake function. The actuator is a known wear point: internal motor, gear or position-sensor failure typically sets VGT position codes and kills exhaust brake performance while the vanes themselves remain serviceable. This actuator must be calibrated to the turbocharger after installation using Cummins INSITE, Holset E-Tool or an equivalent capable scan tool; skipping calibration will cause fault codes and can damage the actuator or turbo. Holset remanufactured actuators are fully disassembled, cleaned and inspected, rebuilt with new bearings, bushings and electronic components, then function-tested through their full range of travel before shipment.
