The HKS Legamax Trailmaster is a side-exit exhaust system built for the Toyota Hilux GUN125 and its 2.4L 2GD-FTV turbo diesel. Routing the outlets out the sides of the truck instead of past the rear bumper keeps the bed clear for loading and leaves room to mount a trailer hitch, which is why HKS chose the layout for its SUV and pickup exhaust line. The KC-1 shell is built from SUS304 stainless and packed with Advantex glass wool, a sound-absorbing material HKS specifies for its resistance to breaking down, so the tone holds up as the miles add up. Dual 90mm titanium tips finish the system, and close-proximity noise measures 71 dB at idle against 70 dB for the factory exhaust, keeping it inside Japanese Motor Vehicle Inspection and JASMA limits. Nothing about the installation changes the truck's ground clearance.
