BackScan is a four-sensor ultrasonic detection system fitted to the rear of a vehicle to help the driver reverse safely. The control box measures the distance to obstacles behind the vehicle and drives a graduated visual and audible warning at the display, picking up an obstacle in under 200 milliseconds. This system is manufactured by Brigade Electronics and supplied under HELLA part number A3744.
