Fuelab 848 Series Fuel Filter with Check Valve -6AN 100 Micron Stainless in Red (flb84821-2). This 848 Series filter builds a check valve directly into the outlet of a standard-flow 3 inch billet fuel filter. Holding residual pressure helps limit vapor build-up in the rails as the engine cools and shortens restart cranking. Configured here with -6AN ports and a 100 micron stainless steel element.
The 100 micron stainless steel element is intended for use as a pre-filter ahead of a fuel pump, where it helps prevent pump cavitation with very low pressure drop. Fuelab recommends a finer element downstream to protect injectors or carburetors.
