The factory inlet metering valve screen is the quiet failure point in a diesel fuel system — it blocks, flow drops, and the pump starves. The Exergy 07-12 Cummins 6.7L Inlet Metering Valve (store SKU xrgE05 20305) replaces it on the Cummins 6.7L.
- Replaces the factory inlet screen arrangement, which is the part that blocks and starves the pump as the fuel system ages.
- Cheap insurance relative to the pump it protects — the failure it prevents is an expensive one.
- Application-specific to the Cummins 6.7L fuel system rather than a universal part, so check the Fits line below against your own truck before ordering.
Fits: 2007-2012 6.7L Cummins trucks — Dodge Ram 2500/3500 through 2010, Ram 2500/3500 from 2011. The 2007 split is mid-year: earlier-2007 trucks still ran the 5.9L and take a 5.9L part instead.
