The factory inlet metering valve screen is the quiet failure point in a diesel fuel system — it blocks, flow drops, and the pump starves. The Exergy 06-07 Duramax LBZ Inlet Metering Valve (store SKU xrgE05 10305) replaces it on the Duramax LBZ.
- Replaces the factory inlet screen arrangement, which is the part that blocks and starves the pump as the fuel system ages.
- Cheap insurance relative to the pump it protects — the failure it prevents is an expensive one.
- Application-specific to the Duramax LBZ fuel system rather than a universal part, so check the Fits line below against your own truck before ordering.
Fits: 2006-2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD/3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD/3500 HD with the 6.6L Duramax LBZ. The 2007 split is mid-year: later-2007 trucks are LMM and take an LMM part instead.
