When the rail pressure falls off at the top of the run, the injection pump is out of capacity — no tune recovers that. The Exergy 01-04 Duramax LB7 10mm Stroker CP3 Pump (store SKU xrgE04 10106) restores the volume the Duramax LB7 needs to hold pressure under load.
- 10mm stroker internals move materially more fuel per revolution, which is what holds rail pressure when the injectors get large.
- CP3 platform — confirm which pump your truck left the factory with, since the families do not interchange.
- Tested through its full operating range before it ships, so it arrives as a known quantity rather than an unknown one you commission on the truck.
Fits: 2001-2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD/3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD/3500 HD with the 6.6L Duramax LB7. The 2004 split is mid-year: later-2004 trucks are LLY and take an LLY part instead.
