- Custom Age 625+ - 260,000-280,000 psi tensile, immune to stress corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement
- Factory head bolts are torque-to-yield - they stretch permanently on first torque and cannot hold added cylinder pressure
- Provides the clamp load to hold the head down at raised cylinder pressure
- Hardened parallel-ground washers included for accurate torque readings
- Threads rolled after heat-treat for maximum fatigue strength
- Cold forged and heat-treated in the USA at ARP's own facility
